Is Fall Guys on Steam? Free for all support and how to play explained

Fall Guys is now free for all and the good news is that you can continue to play on Steam if you already own the beany battle royale.

It’s an exciting time for fans of Mediatonic’s adaptation of Total Wipeout. To celebrate the game’s arrival on Microsoft consoles, there will be a Halo themed event on June 30th with a master chief costume available as the ultimate reward.

We cannot wait to add Master Chief to our collection of colourful outfits, but – before then – there’s some important information for Valve loyalists to know.

Fall Guys is no longer on Steam for newcomers to download but existing owners can continue to play after the free for all launch.

If you’re a newcomer, the only way you can play on PC is via Epic Games. However, if you bought the game on Valve’s store between 2020 and June 20th, 2022, you do not need to download the game on EG in order to play.

Per the developer’s Steam post, everyone who already owns the battle royale on Valve will continue to receive full support and all of the new updates. You will also be able to enjoy cross platform multiplayer and cross-progression support.

Whether you plan to download Fall Guys from the Epic Games store or continue playing on Steam, the game essentially reboots on June 21st with the launch of Season 1.

The developer’s website says that there is a Season Pass with 100 levels to unlock. If you don’t fancy buying the Season Pass, you will be able to trek through a free progression path.

As for what rewards to expect, Mediatonic will be giving players more zany outfits along with the usual nameplates, bean skins, and more.
